Plants can add several inches of height per day, nutrient demand accelerates, water use increases and the plant begins preparing for pollination.<\/p><p>This is also the point in the season where hidden limitations can start reducing the potential of your yield. A field could look healthy from the road, but if nutrition, root function or plant health fall behind during this period, the crop can struggle to reach its full potential.<\/p><p>The good news is that you still have an opportunity to support the crop before pollination arrives. Here are the key things corn needs most between V10 and tasseling.<\/p><h2>1. Nitrogen That Keeps Up With Rapid Growth<\/h2><p>Nitrogen is one of the biggest drivers of yield potential during this stage of the season.
